We Are Still Here

Hi everyone, so sorry for the lack of posts lately, Lindsey is working in Australia right now and I've been super busy with sales appointments this week! Also, this great weather forced me outside this week! I guess our last Fall post inspired Mother Nature to cool of Texas a little. Anywho, style wise I've been experimenting with pattern mixing lately and thought this Pin was a fabulous example of it done right:

I think this look would be really easy/cheap to create, Forever 21 is a great place to find cute patterns along with basic pieces. The mamasita and I are going shopping today, maybe I'll find some cute examples for a post!

Happy Friday Everyone!

Hitting the Open Road

Kelsey left yesterday for a week trip to Hilton Head and Charleston and I am about to jump in the car tomorrow morning to go on a little road trip down to Lake LBJ (which is in the Austin area) to go to my bestest friend from college/roommate for all four years' lake house.

This is one of my favorite drives to make. I take the back roads and drive through this precious Texas town called Hico on my way down there. They have a historic square with some really fun boutiques, and most importantly, the Koffee Kup restaurant that has pie with meringue stacked at least 10 inches high on top (pictures to come.) They are also rated by Texas Monthly as having one of the state's best burgers.

Though I am quite sure I will not look as glamorous as the fun road trip pins below, they have made me quite excited about my four hour road excursion I am about to embark on.

Also, get ready for a post about our first Pinterest recipe bust. I tried making an awesome looking
red, white, and blue, cake tonight that was completely and totally an epic failure. Seriously, it was depressing it was so bad.

TGIF...Seriously

Happy Friday everyone! We will be spending Saturday cooking up and styling up some fun "Inspired by Pinterest" treats for next week's posts. We will also be working on the format of the site to make it a little more "inspiring" looking itself.

We are off to a wine bar here in a minute to celebrate a successful first week of work for Lindsey and several work related accomplishments for Kelsey as well!

Being the newly "working women" that we are, we are having our first official post-work drinks tonight! Wahoo!
